Project Director Larissa Bezo and Deputy Project Manager Oksana Kikot’ took part in the seminar entitled “Development and Implementation of Approach to Management Based on Competences: the European experience”, which took place on the 9-10^th of June at the European Institute of Public Administration (EIPA) (Maastricht, The Netherlands). Due to the support of the Ukrainian Civil Service HRM Project, the list of the participants also included the representatives of the Main Department for Civil Service of Ukraine, namely – Julia Kozak, the head of the Office for maintenance of projects for staff development of the HR department of state bodies and local authorities of the MDCSU, and Catherine Hevchuk, consultant of the Department for training activities and international cooperation of the School of Senior Civil Service.

An experience-sharing seminar dedicated to the discussion of practices and lessons of international negotiations took place for the students of Leadership Development Program on June 3, 2011. Andriy Veselovsky, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine, Ambassador at Large of the Department of Foreign Economic Cooperation of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine hosted the event, which took place as a part of training sessions dedicated to the art of negotiation within the Leadership Development Program 2011.

training session entitled “The Art of Negotiation” has started for the Group 1 in the School for Senior Civil Service of Ukraine. The session is the part of the module “Leadership and Effective Communication” and is conducted in the framework of the Leadership Development Program: the Administrative Reform 2001 with the support of the HRM-Project.
